A shamelessly flirtatious Eva Longoria is back on TV tonight with her old “Desperate Housewives” hubby, San Antonio’s own Ricardo A. Chavira. And once again, she makes all kinds of trouble.
Longoria guest stars on “Welcome to the Family,” Chavira’s new weekly comedy, which has him playing Miguel Hernandez, a married dad of two.
The best news? It’s the best episode of the sit-com so far: The characters, including the other set of parents, played by Mike O’Malley and Mary McCormack, gel beautifully and the laughs are plentiful. It airs at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.

But back to Longoria: She plays Ana Nunez, Miguel’s youngest son’s sixth-grade teacher.
The problems begin when Miguel and his wife, Lisette (Justina Machado), attend parents’ night (photo above). Ana greets Miguel with a radiant smile and passionate hug, followed by a declaration to his wife.
“I was his girlfriend!” Ana coos. Lisette’s expression is priceless.
The teacher then compliments old flame Miguel right and left, batting her eyes while telling him how young he looks and commenting that his son has his smile.
Back in the car, Miguel tries to calm the fears of his wife, who already feels unsexy because she’s about to become a grandmother.
“Boy she got ugly,” Miguel says of Ana. “What a fat mess!”
“Don’t!” his wife warns.Image may be NSFW.

Like I said, trouble. Longoria’s guest shot is fun, but it’s only a small part of a sexy and very funny episode.
If you’ve been disappointed by the sitcom, this is the episode that could very well draw you back in.
